Goals
I'm a competitive person that loves to find new and creative ways to invite viewers to join my station. I believe being personable, approachable, and available for people, on-air and online, is what keeps TV Meteorologists ahead of web and mobile products. I'm a parent who understands sometimes the weather forecast is simply about planning your day, but as a Meteorologist I fully understand the threats the weather can bring to an area.

Examples of Lifestyle Graphics Built from Scratch by Meteorologist Heather Haley
We are a visual medium, AND we have to make our on-air content relevant and important to a society that can swipe to get their forecast. Seeing a temperature and rain chance on a phone does NOT give people the big picture. Our jobs are to tie in the forecast with their lives.
Lifestyle graphics are also great for social media. Folks are more inclined to share a forecast for their kid's soccer practice, than a generic day planner. These serve as a reminder to viewers that we know how the weather can impact their family.
